1. Start with a blank canvas when organizing. I find it helpful to have everyhthonig I need with me before I begin so I don't need to go around the house looking for what I need. For my side table I am using the following; (Candle, Flowers, Magazine, and book).
2. I find that flowers not only make homes/apartments look nicer, but they also are a great way to express you restyle and experiment without making a large permanent decision like painting a wall. My room is mostly white so white flowers compliment that while green makes it seem natural and inviting. If you have a light brown side table then you may want to get darker colors like medium violates and pinks. If you have medium wood then I like to use greens and earthy colors.
3. Not only do candles smell amazing, but some come in handy as great decor pieces. Scents can define your living space, and you may not even know it. I find it relaxing while I am getting ready for bed to have a candle on, especially the scented type. I like fresh scents so in my room I am using a 'fresh air' scent. Whatever suits you is perfectly fine. Feel free to play around.
4. Last but not least is the entertainment. I always find it nice to have a book next to me to pick up. It also expresses your interested in a subtle way. It depends on what you like. In my case I love to read magazines so I have a lot of those. If you love to read then you can stack up some books. These double as decor, and entrainment.
Love,
Claire Rios
